“Money's too tight to mention
Oh mo-ney mo-ney mo-ney mon-ey
Mo-ney's too tight to mention
I can't even qual-i-fy for my pension”
In these current financially tight times, the CurryCouncil decided to follow the wise words of Mick Hucknall and his Simply Red classic from 1985 for the November (2010) curry.
The Khandoker in Bramhall were celebrating their birthday with a “Khandoker Brings Back The 80s” special discounted offer for the whole of November.

| Bring Back The 80s |
Pops at 25p, starters at £1.95, main courses at £4.95, side dishes at £1.25, rice 75p, chapati 15p, naan 25p and chips at 35p…………………..the CurryCouncil therefore decided to fill their boots with a large variety of the dishes available on the special 1980’s menu.

The CurryCouncil were seated at a large, circular table at the back corner of the restaurant. The table location was perfect for our often loud conversation and had just enough space for Bean to get out his I-pad and bore us with the latest flight prices to Timbuktu or his latest favourite destination for the next "fantasy" CurryCouncil lad’s trip abroad.
The Khandoker review is now over two months overdue thanks to Dave being too busy (e.g. sleeping in his loft room and repeatedly watching his Stockport County greatest goals DVD) to do the review as promised.
Therefore, it’s now quite difficult to offer a fair review of the food and service that was on offer at the Khandoker. We aim to return to this restaurant in the near future to sample the full menu and to try some of their speciality dishes.
| Chicken Madras 80's prices |
Classic main courses of Madras and Rojan Josh were eaten by all and had a true 80’s feel with the sauce consistency and taste being reminiscent of a traditional BIR (British Indian Restaurant) dish. The portion sizes were adequate, although we certainly could not grumble at the low prices.

What has happened to the closeup pictures of the dips curry council?
Me and the Mrs always look forward to comparing the different restaurant red onion quantities that are dished out, this was the only site that offered this functionality! Bring it back.
