Normally my perfect partner for Indian food would be a standard pint/bottle of Cobra or maybe even a bottle of Kingfisher, but on this night I indulged on something quite unique to accompany my take-out meal.
King Cobra is a double fermented pilsner style lager and comes housed in a fantastic looking large 750ml bottle.
There is something almost regal about a beer bottle that comes in a champagne style bottle complete with a cork. It was quite exciting to ‘pop’ the cork in the knowledge that my take out Indian feast was ready to be eaten.
Its strong 8% alcoholic content is not for the faint hearted. I was pleasantly surprised by the beers smooth and not very gassy taste. This cloudy looking beer was a perfect accompaniment to my take out curry. Its malty flavour tamed my spices well and made it far too easy to drink.

I certainly don’t think that I qualify to be a beer reviewer but this beer comes with a high recommendation from me.
If you are looking to try a beer at home thats a little bit different with your curry - King Cobra might just be the beer for you!
I recently contacted Cobra to confirm who currently stocks King Cobra. The wholesalers/retailers are as follows:
