I hate to use the phrase OK'ish. But adequate or satisfactory would be too generous. Yet avoid or horrible would be too harsh. So I can only really offer OK'ish. Here's why...
I'm never comfortable with buffets in Indian Restaurants and Kulshi just reminded me why. Some parts of the meal where well, that word again, OK. Others were definetly NOT ok. Prawn crackers instead of poppadums? Nan bread that was more like potatoe cakes than ...well...potatoe cakes. All of the meals in the buffet had a very similar flavour and strength. Here's why. There is what I regard as one of the biggest clues you can ever find when judging an Indian meal, in fact in a meal of any ehnicity, the food colouring. When a chef uses more colouring than spices then he is not a good chef or he is trying to disguise food. The massala and korma were the same sauce but with different colours. Meats had been heavily coloured. Just like Jordan, when somethings gets THAT orange avoid it, poor taste, poor quality. All of the sauces were of the same strength. Nothing spicey for the more daring customer. That's a clue that everything has come from the same sauce.
The restaurant itself was clean and reasonably well furnished. It's an old shop that's been converted but the high ceiling has been retained which gives the atmosphere of eating in a wharehouse or an aircraft hanger. Have you ever been in a warm wharehouse or a cosy aircraft hanger?
This is only my opinion. Pop down to Kulshi, eat and form your own opnion.

My bill £12- Buffet £10 2litre bottle of water £2.
What I feel the meal was worth? Maximum £8 incl drink.

2/march/2010 me and my friends went for meal night it should had been great meal night but it came out be bad night food was was cold staff service was bad they need to look smart and servie customers in manners the drinks we orderd were given wrong drinks to us i would give it 1 out of 10 never go ther again

hiya iv been a few times to kulshi and must say its going down the pan!! (no pun intended!!) the beer served is dire thats the cobra and the stella, the startes i found are good especialy the malaysia chicken and salad starters i found the currys very boreing lamb curry was just a mass of bones and messy to eat i have had lamb madras on the buffet before b for them even on the buffet like already said prawn crackers are disgusting with an indian curry!! bring back the pops!!!will be leaving the kulshi for a while and maybe it might improve!!ut theyv stopped that its now the cheaper currys hes doing and as for the popadams i love them but you have to pay xtra

We went for buffet also at Kulshi and found it very inferior with mushy curries. True you can take as much as you want but why fill up on inferior goods. The starters were cold and onion bhajis just a burnt up offering. Never going ther again it gave me belly ache and I hardly ate anything!!!!

We went for Kulshi buffet on Friday and it was awful. Very dark around the food so you cannot see the awful muck being served. Lots of dishes were cold. Meat inferior and lamb curry was just a bag of bones. Lamb chops starter and main were just bones with a little of meat. Shimla Pinks please please come back. And not serving pappadoms is stupdi - who wants prawn crackers with curry!!!
